Currently 2 years out of undergrad at Big 4. Project experience is tech consulting/transformation. Ultimate goal is to get into S&O. Best option?

1) MBA -> MBB
2) MBA -> IB
3) No MBA, get new job now

Why IB if you want to do S&O?

like

Same as D1, I don’t get the IB part?! That said, M7 MBA should be easy to get into this year. I imagine not many are up for paying tuition with no certainty of what lies 2 years ahead.

On the other hand, people may crowd into business school in an effort to hide out during a possible recession. However, this crisis really happened in March, after most application deadlines, so effects on enrollment this fall are TBD. When Lehman went down in September 2008, among other turmoil, a lot of people suddenly decided that business school looked good.

Switch into the functional area you’ve been consulting for

What is your intermediate term goal? If you're just going to want to join FAANG after 1-2 years in strategy consulting, you might as well just try for that directly. If you're dead set on MBB, get an M7 MBA.

It’s hard to understand COVID-19 rates of infection where I’m at or was, and the contracts was not inline with corporate ideals at least not in the IT sector. Their ideals was radical and the spread of harmful information on past events to prevent ethnicities to get vaccinated was alarming. It has highest infection rate in private sector. Don’t know death rates was strictly remote and put on non-sanctioned project NDA wasn’t signed and never knew until it came down the grapevine.

This is more of a rant than anything but advice is welcome. I’m so fed up with my manager micromanaging everything. We miss client deadlines frequently because deliverables are backlogged under their review, they make comments on things they weren’t in client discussions about, and won’t listen when told client wanted it X way. I’m at a loss for what to say to them because I’ve tried repeatedly to fix this to no avail.

Hi, I'm an artist with 5 years of experience in the game developmentindustry.

After interview sessions, it comes to salary negotiation. To my surprise, the salary offer is below industry average, even more like junior-level salary.

Though my experience includes team leadership and I have described in detail how I could contribute to the company, the interviewer raised the offer, adding $300 only, still in junior salary range.

What does it really mean, and how do I win the negotiation?

TIA.
