Currently 8wks pregnant, had my first ultrasound today. Heartbeat and babe look good (yay!) but there is a large 10cm cyst on my right ovary. Dr is concerned about potential ovarian torsion / complications given the size. Has anyone here been through something similar? Hoping to hear how others navigated this!

A little different, but I had a cyst rupture at 5 weeks. It was horrible but I recovered in about 1.5 days. Nothing bad happened to the baby. We’ll be 22 weeks on Saturday.

My advice is to stay calm (though I know this is not easy) and partner with your doctor to get to the best outcome.

I think there’s normally a cyst from the ovary you ovulated from. Maybe this one is larger than they’d normally see?

I had two cysts at that appointment, one on my uterus and one on the forming umbilical cord. I had another appointment 4 weeks later to check in on them and they were gone.
My doc said the tech is so good these days they can see things that maybe are actually very common but the docs didn’t know that bc they couldn’t see them before. I don’t remember the size of mine though, so definitely follow doc instructions.

6 months pregnant and just laid off. And 40% of my severance was just taken in taxes .. I just spoke with paid family leave and I no longer qualify even though I had been paying into the program (thanks NY).. I already applied for unemployment but doctors are telling me I’ve got 10-14 weeks left in this pregnancy.. so stressed having twins and being unemployed, no maternity leave, no paychecks coming in, and I’ve been applying but not a single interview.. just ugh. 😭

I originally joined this bowl years ago when my husband had to have chemo and I thought we were going to be heading down the IUI/IVF route. We ended up getting pregnant naturally and are done having our own. For the last 6 months, I’ve been seriously considering being a surrogate and got the OK from my OBGYN last week. Those of you looking for a surrogate, what are the top 3 things you desire with one and what are your deal breakers?

I might try to get pregnant next year. I’d like to get some genetic testing done beforehand to see if baby will be prone to certain conditions/illnesses. I am not aware of anything wrong with my or my husband’s family history but it will give me peace of mind.
Which one do you recommend? My insurance plan sucks, so something that has a decent price with no insurance would be great. Thanks.

So weird I don’t remember joining this bowl (or why) but my new therapist recommended an ADHD assessment. I’ve been researching symptoms and can relate to a LOT of them (as a child and adult). I’m conflicted because I can stay organized when I track my daily routine (been using my daily planner consistently for 2 months yay) and I’m able to focus using Pomodoro technique. How do you differentiate b/w “normal” forgetfulness, time management issues, etc vs ADHD?

I recently started a new job in a marketing department that had a lot of change and turn over the past 6 months. What would y'all do in this situation. It looks like our whole ad strategy needs to be rebuilt from the ground up, if there even is one.
