Interesting! Most ppl are trying to break into PE. Can you share your reasons why you're leaving? Currently working in corp strat and feel like a PE background would be looked upon favorably

Haven’t left yet, but am exploring opportunities to transition out. Ultimately looking to gain more exposure to the operational side of the business, as that is where I would like to be long-term.

Are you okay with the comp drop? Would be much lower for most non-tech Corps.

Currently working as part of a CDD oriented team (EYP, S& DS, LEK) and got contacted by a recruiter from Mckinsey.

Around ~1-2 years out of college and want to end up working on the buy side. Which opportunity will better set me up for that?

At McKinsey there’s no guarantee I’d be doing CDD work and I’d have to go back a level but also the MBB brand reputation and exit opps are stront. Would love any thoughts on this.

Are there any advantages to working for a smaller LMM firm over a much larger and well-respected UMM firm? Or are larger firms always better than smaller ones?
