Currently a 4th year at a lower tier AM Law 100 shop. Consistently billing 1900 (just enough to hit market $$). Thoughts on White & Case corporate/M&A? Sweatshop? Hours? Culture? Should I run?

Hi in TCS, i know the client doesn't have billing as they recently shuffled a more experienced resource with a less experienced resource saying it was due to low billing. But they are saying they will give me long term onsite? Even clients wants me there but there is a routine that client will offer three months onsite for all employees in that project. Apart from that I don't think there is long term opportunity, do you think tcs can negotiate with client for one onsite position? In NP now

As an experienced SM at EY in the pipeline for partner in two years, would I be better off jumping ship to another Big 4 now (delaying the promotion for at least a year or two in the process), targeting a direct admit role at a mid tier firm or staying put knowing I won’t make nearly as much as a MD in NewCo. 2017 grad so technically a 4th year. Lateraled to a CRE boutique in NYC that’s a major player. Learned quickly that my experience/knowledge/organization is not up to par (was a COG in the machine at prior firm). Just had EOY review and, though positive sounding, they’re dropping me to a 3rd year to ensure I’m not billing as a 4th year and able to do the work to learn/get up to par. I feel pretty okay about it (market salary deduction notwithstanding), but want to make sure I’m not being naive.

Any NYC law firms hiring a 3rd/4th year corp/real estate associate? Not yet barred in NY but can waive in next year. Preferably 1900 billable requirement and good WLB. Thanks!
