Currently a marketing designer - any particular skills needed to branch into a visual designer role?

I work in strategy/ ops in fed gov for a large consulting firm. I desperately want to move to private sector consulting… largely due to the quality of lateral management in this space. I have solid core consulting skills… how hard would this transition be?

After staying at hotels as part of work travel, I feel like I really want to be part of this industry going forward. What are some ways to switch to this industry full time? My background is in tech consulting so wondering if being a hotel manager or even owning some small properties is an option for me.

I’m just over 1 year in a supervisory role. I have a team member who is moving on in her career. I would like to do something for her that I would be willing to do for any other employee in the future when they depart. I was thinking a card wishing her well, but also wanted to add something to it. Does anyone have ideas? Is there anything you do/have done? Or would appreciate? We are looking to hire a FTE for systems integration. We are using Mulesoft as an IPAAS. I’m part of the hiring team. The pay is 6 figures it is fully remote, the benefits are insanely good and it can be your second job if you are very good. If you are great, it’s probably 15-20 hours of work per weeks. Hey gang, lately I have been thinking if I got underpaid. Graduated from master school right after 2020 pandemic and started by 68K as UXD in digital sales company based in NYC. With 2 YOE the salary went up by 3% and 5% average promotion. Now it comes up to 75K w/ 6K bonus. What do you think of this? My manager honestly told me I was underpaid during 1-1 but since he was newly hired not long ago, he told me he has no solution at the moment. Thinking of starting a new position...

Question! I just moved(transferred) to another team of my company and received new title, graphic & creative services. I was a senior graphic designer at the previous team. What do you think about my new title? I know that title is not a big thing but why I feel like my title is downgraded here… Good thing is my jobs here at my current team are what I really wanted to do. This is amazing.
