Anyone sick of your work?
We went to a wedding and husband was not wearing a mask at the airport and in public places . He gets Covid and we find out several of the guests also got Covid . No way of knowing who was patient zero. We have a toddler who has symptoms (tested negative) but now can’t go to daycare and I’m also not feeling well but still negative. I’m angry with my spouse since even when he was sick he didn’t mask at home and refuses to isolate in his room (would eat in the living room).
Nurses (or anyone) in biotech/pharmaceuticals/medical device sales: I am interested in making a switch and growing my career in one of these fields. Love the idea of making greater scale impact on patients. Looking for tips and advice on how to break into the industry as I start the process. Currently have 10 years of experience as an RN ranging from Multi-system/transplant, cardiac, and burn/trauma ICUs, to NICU and currently pediatric ED. Please feel free to DM me instead. Thanks in advance!
Hey guys! Went to college with full intention of getting into medical school. Graduated right before the pandemic which gave time to think long and hard about going to med school. Decided I was doing it for all the wrong reasons, and am trying to pivot into consulting. I’ve reached out to hundreds on LinkedIn, which lead to a few referrals, but have heard nothing back from any firms. Anyone willing to help me out with some advice and guidance?
What’s your PTO policy? My firm offers 10 vacation days and 5 sick days. I know the private sector tends to have less PTO time compared to government jobs but I’m curious to know just how stingy my firm is lol
*Medical Records Requests / Reducing Expenses / HITECH*
I recently left my corporate paralegal role to return to a small personal injury firm. I was shocked to learn that the HITECH fee no longer applies if a client requests their medical records be sent to a third-party (e.g. attorney). Has anyone had any success modifying their HITECH request template for clients so there IS a fee limitation AND the records are sent directly to their attorney? Paying $100+ for hospital records is sickening.
Would you recommend dropping out of an MHA program from a non-target school (1 year in) and just doing well on the GRE to get into a top MBA?
I planned to go to medical school after my undergrad, but ended up cancelling my matriculation due to mental health reasons. Panicked and enrolled in an MHA (it doesn't teach any hard skills). I don't want to be mediocre, and I've been getting rejected by a lot of companies. I'm worried about my future. Recommend dropping?
Does anyone have any advice as far as referencing a disability during the interview process? I have a speech disorder where I am sometimes (maybe a week out of the month) unable to communicate verbally at all. Should I bring this up because the interviewer can’t? Should I only bring it up if it becomes observable? Should I do my best to hide it until I’m hired?

Anybody find YNAB difficult to use? At the end of my free trial and dont think Ill extend it. I get that it forces you to be deliberate with every $, but its overwhelming. I just need a simple spending overview with limits on categories. Think Mint might be good for that - any thoughts?
Currently, I am a clinical liaison at a large skilled nursing company in the Houston Medical Center. I have recently been offered multiple positions making more and working fewer hours . I have only worked with my previous company for roughly six months, but I feel I am underpaid. How much do people in this position make, and how do I go about asking for a raise? Is it too soon?
Do anyone think this Voluntary leave donation policy in EPAM is unethical?
If any employee is in emergency medical condition and required to take leave, Instead of providing them the required medical leave, EPAM sending mail to their employees asking to donate a leave from our own leave balance, so that they can provide leave for the Emergency person. 😵💫😵💫😵💫

I’ve worked in clinical research in the academic/non profit world for the past five years. I want to transition to a role in pharma or a CRO, but haven’t been successful yet because I don’t have industry experience. Does anyone know of any CROs/pharma companies that are willing to hire someone with research expertise from an academic medical center rather than already in industry? Thanks!

Question peeps: after speaking with the HM, if I don't hear from the recruiting coordinator the same day with feedback on next steps, should I call it a loss?
Hello all. Still very new to SAP S/4HANA. In a course for SAP FICA and using a training account with the HDS GUI. Currently and I'm stuck creating a document as I keep getting 'G/L account 121001 is relevant for tax; please check tax code'. I check 121001 and tax category states all tax types allowed. Not sure what to do here. Can someone please help.

Super curious to understand commission structures for those in tech solution sales. What’s your base comp? What % of GM hits your bottom line? I’m currently at 95k base, realizing 8% at an estimated 40% GM. Unsure if this is a competitive structure.
Some day I hope to work in an environment where men don't immediately look down at my chest before acknowledging my presence. ✨

As I look towards transition to civilian sector I’m considering increasing tech experience to diversify my career and provide better options. Full of soft skills and management experience, but few tangibles. I’ve explored Trailhead, but I’m not sure system admin is right path. Any suggestions? 2+ years until transition. Base 142 with 100% match, so 284 OTE. Accelerators after 100, which doubles up to 125. (101 to goal will garner 102 in commission, 105 will 110, caps out at 125 so max is 150% commission)

Hey everyone, need some career help...
I’m currently a BDR at a small family business who specializes in financial services. Total sales team is 11 people just to give you an idea.
I’ve been here for 2 years now and it’s my first job out of college. Id like to move to a larger company with more growth and training as I know it will help me for the future.
I’m afraid that with my limited experience and an unknown company that will be hard to get my foot in anywhere. What should I do?

I was recently let go from my job of 7 years with an organic egg company. We were purchased by private equity and I was the first to be let go by the new SVP of Sales. I worked my way up from Sales Admin to Trade Marketing Manager in a 5 year span. It’s been over a month and I don’t have any solid leads for a new role. I’m looking for a role in Category Management, Trade Management or just Sales in general. I am very competent and have valid credentials. Any help is appreciated.

I am looking for referral for program manager roles/ payments/ partnerships. I will greatly appreciate it. I have an MBA and 10 years of experience in financial service industry.
thank you in advance!
I spoke to a recruiter about a month ago regarding a position. The comp base variable split was 70/30 which was a great guarantee compared to 50/50 split on same OTE I have now. Since initial discussions the offer has changed to 60/40 split and a 20k lower OTE). I am quite disappointed but also see it a still a very strong opp and I’m really ready to try something new. They mentioned a signing bonus. What is a reasonable signing bonus to ask for? Its 40k difference from the orig base.

Try to move into a related SC/SE position rather than into direct sales - this will help gain experience on the BD side without starting at the bottom in comp.
That’s great advice, thank you! I was aiming towards an SE position, and your advice reaffirms that’s a good starting path. I appreciate the help!
Connect with people on LinkedIn, keep a look out for entry level jobs in tech sales or SaaS. Plus, find a mentor if you can.
Knowing someone who works in sales to give you ideas will be a great help. You can start from AE position then you can climb up the ladder. Nothing is impossible.
