Currently an active VA cpa applying to NY as i recently moved here. While submitting my 150 credits (including 30 of which were accounting, and satisfied VA cpa requirement), i was informed that NY require 33 hours of accounting. Is this new? How can the education requirements for specific type of credit be that different between states? Do i have other options or do i have to take another accounting course?

If you got rejected from a job but the reach back out a week later because the first choice reneged their offer would you take it? I know this likely happens all the time but I just feel like the dynamic of being the back up choice is not something I want to feel when I start.
