Depends on your boss
What should I look for here? Anything specific?
Sharing more detail would be helpful.
All we can respond with now would be to “keep in mind...” the differences in compensation, equity potential, work effort/hours, viability of the start-up to secure late stage funding and succeed, etc.
I’ll also add you should set a time-bound goal for were you want yourself and this start-up to be and stick to it. It’s easy to stay at a place too long simply because you love the team or the dream...a sinking ship still sinks.
For context - I don’t care too much about long term stability - I can go get an MBA after. I think compensation will be competitive - so I don’t need to rely on equity too much. I’m just wondering if it’ll be worth the learning experience. This startup is small but backed by Sequoia.
