Do you think your current salary / net worth / cash impacts the level you come in at MBB?
No but it helps me gauge when I confirm no before wasting not only my time but also the recruiter's time

At least AP level for it to be worth it

Principal at the minimum, Partner would be better
Hi there, can I ask for BCG,
- is transition from P1 to P2 automatic after a year? (Principal 1, principal 2)
- what’s the TC diff for P1 and P2
- would you recommend OP to come back at least at P2, or at least a partner?
If I may ask, why are you looking to boomerang? I am assuming you are with one of the big tech and you seem comfortable.
Exactly same situation now. Very similar cash and stock number as well, variance of 10k in total only. Left consulting for a year. Should I boomerang?

Realistically you’ll be taking a cut unless you have a strong value prop to make to bring you in as an AP or partner.

There is also a reason for this - not many folks make it to equity partner, and the hours are insane to do so.

At 450 yoy comp, AP or Principal levels will make the most sense.
You’ll get a lot of debate on what’s equal/equivalent between firms, but that should be your floor and you should not be expecting a paycut.
Most important point. Do you want to make/stay partner? This would be a very poor move if you just planned to do this for 1-2 years. You will not get any real benefit if you don’t do this for a bit (~5 years)
