Currently at Bain, and while I feeling so lucky to be here and enjoying it. I feel lost. I don’t know what’s next for me. No other company seems interesting to me and I feel kinda complaisant.

Also feeling a FOMO is taking over my head. That my other colleagues/classmates are doing much better :(

Sorry to sound silly 😢

Sorry to hear that. Feeling in a bit of a professional slump as well. Are there any personal projects you can take on?

It isn't silly, you don't need to invalidate your own feelings because they're real and yours. Try not to compare yourself to your classmates or colleagues and instead focus on developing an exit plan and if necessary learn what you need to do to make yourself a better candidate. There's no time limit on success, so theres no reason to believe you won't go on to bigger and better things if you strategize and go after it.

This is not silly at all. I am sure that many of us can relate and have felt this way in the past. I agree with everyone above, comparison is the thief of joy. Playing the comparison game will always make you feel less than.

It doesn't sound silly at all. I think we have probably all been there. It sounds like it may be time to start looking for your next role.

I woke up late to my meeting with the CEO. I didn’t have time to brush my teeth, so I grabbed listerine and splashed some in my coffee. It tasted like success in a cup (try it!). By the time I arrived I was covered in sweat. Luckily it was raining heavy outside. I’ll just say I helped a lady with a flat tire. When I got into the meeting room, the secretary stated the CEO wasn’t there because the meeting is virtual. It was my lucky day!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Not sure if this is the right place to post but I have really been struggling with work lately. I was diagnosed with ADHD in the winter and prescribed adderall. While it helps me get up and start my day, I still completely lack motivation to actually do anything even as simple as responding to an email. Prior to the ADHD diagnosis I battled with a panic disorder for about the last decade and was prescribed xanax. However my doc didn’t feel comfortable with both scripts so I no longer (cont)

I’ve taken Adderall for several years & it has helped a lot for my ADHD. However, recently I have been increasingly overwhelmed with balancing work, school, & home life. I am really struggling to manage my symptoms even while taking the maximum ER dosage. I recently started taking Strattera as well, but haven’t noticed much improvement. My doctor has suggested switching to Vyvanse instead. What are your thoughts on Vyvanse vs Adderall? Has anyone has had more success with it?

Looking for advice/input:

I’ve dealt with ADHD my entire life, although was just diagnosed last year. Throughout my career (assurance>industry>consulting), I’ve been able to “outwork” everyone else in the office to counter the lack of focus and other associated faux pas associated with the disorder. Recently have hot a point where I can’t put in the hours (3 yo/fam), and my work has taken a major hit. Anyone in consulting/assurance have any methods for managing this when it comes to PM duties?

I was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 12. My family did not opt to put me on medication. I illegally discovered Adderall in college. Worked incredible. Got diagnosed after college & after having been fired from my first job. Passed the CPA exams on Adderall. Went off of it again. I do everything well at my job except for attention to detail within my excel files & emails. Will taking ADHD medication really fix this? Does anyone else have this issue and was it resolved by taking medication?

ADHD medication with high Blood Pressure?

I found ADHD meds helpful when I worked in consulting in my 20s. I stopped the meds when I went back to school. Also have had High BP since late 20s. 15 years away, I am back in consulting and loving it, however my difficulties juggling so many projects/tasks is holding me back. I know I would benifit from some ADHD medication but my Dr won’t prescribe any with my history of BP (controlled with BP meds). Anyone else gone through this? Any tips?
