Salary for an IP at a big nyc agency?
HI folks,
My current CTC is very low with respect to my YOE. CTC : 5.2 lpa
YoE : 4
Tech stack : Python , MLops
But now my manager has initiated H1B visa for me and the visa process is in progress.
Is it worth to wait till the H1B process completes to work in U.S (or) should i make a switch immediately. .

Has anyone moved from Accenture Federal to CGI Federal at Manager/Senior Manager level? Looking at Strategy/Organizational Change Management roles, and curious to know if you feel that compensation and benefits were worth it when measured against your actual experience once you started working with CGI. (I understand that some of it depends on the account you're on, the team you have, etc., just trying to decide if it's worth considering.) Thanks!

Impossible to chime in without your current comp. If you're at $350 right now at McK, no. If you're at $80 yes. In between it would depend
We make about the same and I was approached for a role making a little less. Not having to take a pay cut to exit was attractive but the work seemed mundane so I didn't progress.
If I were in your shoes I'd probably take it since it seems very aligned to your interests. The comp delta seems like enough especially if it's fewer hours
Go to the doc and get all of your tests then exit if the role seems exciting and can weather an economic downturn
Are you a cloud engineer or on the business side?
What type of role at oracle?
Depends on your longer term goals and how much of hike it is?
Most consulting digital delivery/implementation teams are indeed staff aug. At Oracle you’d probably be doing more meaningful work
Your likely be doing the same at Oracle or IBM, etc too if in tech consulting. Their business model is digital delivery/ implementation especially i. cloud practice to various orgs.
Think you’re misconflating tech to strategy work.
What level are you at McK now? Do you want to stay in consulting long term or industry?
What level u now

Maybe I am putting McKinsey on a pedestal but aren’t these “legacy” companies pretty standard companies to get into compared to McKinsey? I honestly didn’t even think these companies offered RSUs which is a big surprise. Wasn’t the whole point of striving for Mck to get an amazing industry exit? Idk. I think you can do better. A company that has better line of products/services, outstanding culture and long term growth/stability and great exit opportunities. The comp as enticing as it sounds I personally feel it would be tough to exceed that comp getting out of either of this companies when it is time for that. I am overlooking experience because honestly I’m sure you have the core skills to adapt to any strategy/non tech/ management type job/role. You are gonna be starting fresh in a new place anyways.
What’s your current role/level/years of experience?
For legacy tech I'd negotiate better RSU comp. Their stock is only going so high so have to make it worth it. Plus have to stay 4 years to get it.
