You will always create more growth in passion areas: you work harder and your mental health stays on longer. Would recommend option 2.
Offer 2 and use offer 1 to negotiate salary with 2
Coach
If your goal is to dip for B school in 2-3 years you could take option one and suck it up. Or option 2 and enjoy your time. For me it would depend how much I didn’t vibe with the team. How much equity are they offering at the tech company?
Coach
Yeah take option two then. You can re recruit for tech after MBA. There will always be another unicorn lol

I would vote 1
1. You’ll want to jump off a cliff if/when option 1 IPOs. Plus you’ll be part of a growth story. Save option 2 for later in life when you’re ready to chill.
Coach
I mean this is a probable and not certain. If Op shared the option 1 name, I could maybe give an unbiased opinion as a tech enthusiast.

2. As someone who just jumped to a company where I wasn’t keen on the team, culture, or position, I HATED IT. You have to work with these people and in that role for 2-3 years, that’s a long time to not like something. Plus if ultimate goal is bschool and 2 is good for that AND you love team and culture, why not enjoy yourself the next 2-3 years. You can chase the money after bschool.
