Program Managers-any recs for boot camps, internships or similar to get experience w/ tech software/systems? TIA
I’m a non-tech program manager in healthcare & want to be a tech program manager or similar. I’m getting application rejections saying we decided to move forward w/ other candidates whose skills & exp better align w/ the needs for role.
I don’t have access to newer/tech software/systems @ my job & I’m willing to learn but don’t want to waste time/money.

Tips for messaging recruiters on LinkedIn? I’ve had about a 2% reply rate from them. My current general template: expressing my interest in agency + my background + request for a quick phone chat about their recruiting process or, if applicable, the open position
I have recently joined nagarro and allocated in a project, but the skills are not aligning with the role requirements.
Which of the below options will be better-
1. Can I request the HR to change my project
2. Should I approach my manager about this
3. I should look to change the organization as they'll never change the project.

First time poster here!
After spending 4 years as a mid-level ops manager, I tried to break into HR through talent acquisition. Now after 6 years in TA, I've had a hard time getting out of it. My goal was always to get into a more broad HRBP position, but I've since worked for smaller orgs without a solid HR career path. When I ask about my career goals, they keep telling me, "Soon!" Or "Maybe in 6 months!"
I'm testing SPHR in June. Any advice for securing the type of role I'm aiming for?

I’m at the final stage of a series of interviews. Position will be ~$40k increase over my current one. Here’s my dilemma: I was planning on relocating to another city where I own a house because of cost of living here in SoCal. I currently wfh with an infant and the new position doesn’t offer remote work.
The increase in salary will almost certainly translate into putting the baby in daycare and moving into a marginally larger space. Is it even worth it?
Has anyone had success negotiating wfh?
Hey! Im looking to transitioning from teaching to HR. My background is in social services. Any advice on landing an entry level HR or recruiting position? Everyone is hiring but you always need experience. 😬 I’ve revamped my resume to transition my skills/experiences to better suit HR. I thought about getting certified but figured I needed to land a job first. ANY help is greatly appreciated.
Last Wednesday 8/3, I had my final interview with oracle. They are hiring 2 people for role and the hiring manager stated she had more interviews next week and was looking to make a decision by the end of the next week but didn’t specify I’d hear back at the end of next week. It’s now Friday 8/12, is it okay to reach out to the recruiter today for follow up or should I wait until Monday?

Just accepted an offer as a project delivery specialist. To be completely honest, mainly just took the role for the almost 33% pay increase and how much I enjoyed the team during the interview process. Curious about others’ experience (the good, the bad, the ugly 😅)? The project I’m on is slated to last 3-4 years and I’m not necessarily trying to “find a home” at Deloitte or the big four, in general.

Hi guys- received an offer today for 140 + 15k sign on+ some equity. Is it okay/smart to ask for some of that sign on to be baked into my salary? So in the case I leave before the 1 year mark I don’t have to pay back such a hefty sum?

Hey everyone! I would like to know how you do your research to see what your market value is. I’ve been working as an HR consultant for the past 3 years my actual title is HRBP but I would consider it more of an HR consultant role( worked with multiple clients in various industries and states) and have done recruiting through my time at my current role. I have an MBA with an emphasis on HR and I’m based in Houston, TX. What range should I be in? Thank you so much for your assistance!
I am looking to make a career change to HR. I currently make 75K as a sales and development coach. I had a recent offer for a state government position in a talent acquisition role but I’d be taking a $25K pay cut. I am extremely over qualified for the position but it could possibly be a stepping stone and gives me the time to acquire SHRM certifications and possibly start taking classes to get my MBA. My question is those currently in an HR role, would this move make sense to you?
Hello! Does anyone have advice on tools or companies I can use to find headcount data to compare company size in a similar industry and what their team sizes are (hr, accounting, customer service, sales, etc)? I’m looking at Linkedin Talent Insights but not sure if that’s the best tool.

I have 3.5 years of experience in HR and bachelors degree in a semi-related field. I’m really wanting to pursue HR certifications this year (I have none). Does anyone have recommendations? I heard the PHR exam is intense and has “outdated” HR material - aka potentially not worth it.

Wanted to get inputs from HR Gens/HRBPs about their views on claw back for sign on and other one time bonuses. I know that a 1 year clawback after payment is a general practice in some industries, but can the period be extended to 2 yrs for some critical situations?
Eg. Hiring an employee for a senior role with a flight risk due to past career instability, and offering them 20K sign on with a 2 year claw back clause in employment contract
Is it legal as per ESA?
I’m taking the SPHR in less than 2 months and haven’t started studying for it. How difficult is it? I’ve been in HR for 20 years and have experienced ALOT in that time, although there are always employee relations scenarios that surprise me! How much do I really need to study for this? I just can’t seem to motivate myself to do it, I’m so mentally burnt out at the end of the day from a high stress HR job, the last thing I feel like doing is studying HR!
