Currently I invest solely in total market or S&P500 ETFs/index funds. I don’t want to get 100% into stock picking since that’s a dangerous game, but what alternatives are there for someone with a high risk appetite and a long time horizon?

Tech - QQQ

Cannabis would be high risk high reward - its a rough market rn and has hurdles to go through, but LT could be a good investment. Plus many stocks are extremely cheap, so might be worth it to scoop up for 5+ year timeline.

Environmental funds might be an ok investment, like solar energy companies and alternative energies.

@EY 1 - which Cannabis stocks would you recommend?

CGC and CRON are considered to be some of the larger players. I have a good position in CRON because of their credit line with Altria - gives them a bit more financial flexibility.

Aphria and VFF are 2 other smaller players that I held for a bit, although can't speak to their financial situation.

You could lever up your SP500 investment

Not sure id recommend it, but it’s higher risk higher reward, with some tax inefficiencies

Go for sector funds
