Am I wrong in thinking it’s inappropriate to talk negatively about members of a specific gender or race at work? I’ve been hearing more of it recently.

I was told by a PPED in NY today that the reasons I'm not up for partner is needing to lose weight, not being female or a diversity candidate, and not having the right family image (married with kids)
Why does everyone preach DEI but fail to recognize that people also grow up in different backgrounds and socioeconomic classes? Increasing diversity in these elite firms also means that you will be at team dinners with people who didn’t grow up with well off parents and experiences living in the finer things in life or enjoying the same things outside of work - but not all teams are cognizant of that in their social conversations and can unintentionally make those ppl feel different. End rant.

Quick vent: I really hate when people aren’t inclusive! I invite my roommate out all the time with my friends and we have a great time. I haven’t received a single invite back. She definitely has more friends than I do in the area so it would help me out a lot to be invited & included to form a friend group. I even tried to invite myself and still no inclusion. Ugh.
I don’t get these gender reveal parties. If it’s a boy they are happy, if it’s a girl they are happy. Just get a party and be happy ... lol

Hi, I got selected in wipro. I have worked in 3 organization till now. So in my first organization my last working day was 23rd oct 2017 and for my 2 nd organization my joining date is 25 sept 2017....these dates are overlapping because my 1st organization had vacation concept(bench without pay)..... So i served notice period there and my second organization asked me join immediately. Will this overlapping affect my bgv in wipro? Everything is genuine. Any suggestions?

All- I have some friends who work at Bain and the more I hear about the place, the more I want to eventually work there. The issue is that my credentials aren’t the best. I will have an MBA from a T15 college in about 2 years time, I have 6 years of experience in analytics consulting, mostly at small firms and startups. I guess I wanted to ask the golden question, do I really have a chance at getting into Bain? If so, how should I plan this out?
