Currently in interviews with Zapier Inc for a marketing role. How recession-proof is this company? Seems they are thriving. Would love a take from someone who works there.

Ok, so I have a couple of offers, one kind of lackluster, for the County. The other is for a credit union-I left credit unions a few years ago to join a FinTech supporting credit unions)
I was laid off last month and have had a flurry of interviews…this credit union offer is my favorite so far, I do have another offer I’m waiting for from another tech company which has a much higher salary range, but nothing is written in stone.
Should I counter? The offer is $95k for a project manager.

Hi Fishes, I am in the salary negotiation with a startup in Ad-Tech space located in Bangalore. I am in the HR field and the new role is exactly what I am looking for. But the CTC offered is 8LPA which is on the lower end considering average salary of the role and company.

YOE: 3.5
CTC: 5LPA

Questions about job hopping-
My average tenure at a company is ~1.5 years (with ~11 YOE), but each jump I've made has yielded progressive/tangible career growth.

I'm concerned after my most recent jump (went from a product director to a head of product position at a different, smaller company after only a year) that I've kind of poisoned future career prospects at larger companies.

Any insights on whether this type of job hopping is a complete deal breaker for potential HMs?

So in the middle of a salary negotiation and the employer switches up. First the role was perm now all of a sudden it to changed to temp to hire after I didn't accept the offer and asked for a higher sign on and base. They are proposing 3 months temp and then they will consider perm. Before I respond, I wanted to your thoughts.

Hello, I just had to vent a little and maybe ask for your opinion. So I’ve been working at my job for four years now and I’ve never gotten a promotion. On top of this, I do extra duties that my coworkers don’t do and struggle with the work load. I feel like I’m being taken advantage of and am not sure what to do. I have been contacted by a hiring manager for a data analytical manager role to manage data engineers, data analysts, and data scientists. The team size will be around 15 people. The team will be over all analytics for the company. It is a 300 million funded healthcare startup and remote position. What total compensation package seems fair for this role? Currently, I am a EM at 200k TC. How should I handle it if they come lower than my current compensation?

🤦‍♀️My stepdaughter fried her gaming pc. We were moving and it sat in the cold and damp in the car for 4 days. We told her to let it warm up and dry out before plugging it in but she didn't wait. The ups was screaming as soon as she plugged it in, the she proceeded to turn it on. We know the power supply is gone, but what are the chances the graphics card is fried? We were able to get a replacement for the rest, but the graphics cards are hard to get according to the store.

I've been struggling since February to get my WFH setup in a way that works for me.

I live in a 2br apartment with my partner so clearing the extra bedroom of distractions (we used it as a video and tabletop gaming room) was an easy choice.

Unfortunately my productivity is much lower than it ever was at the office. I don't really get distracted at home, but I'm not getting as much done either.

Mini rant: I did three rounds of interviews and conducted a case study for a startup medium sized company just for me to get rejected by them essentially stating that they felt like I did not have enough experience in the role but that I had been the only one to do a great job on the case study. These multiple interview rounds need to stop. I thought it was pretty ridiculous.
