Starting my job in public soon. What’s the deal with tattoos? Although things are still virtual, l’d like to start rebuilding my work wardrobe after losing a considerable amount of weight. I have an inner bicep tattoo, but would eventually like to get more visible tattoos. I typically wore long sleeves/sweaters when I was an intern, but it got pretty hot in the summer. Fully aware this is a “decision with consequences” but wondering if this is still something people worry about?

Perpetually an intern... working at the same company for 1.5+ years and easily doing the work of a junior creative, & taking the heat off my CDs daily; sometimes I’m the only AD on big jobs. Did I need to get an H1B visa stamping if I’m in the US? I was on OPT and got my H1B while on it so ive been in the US since 2014, never left. It’s time to renew my H1B and the questionnaire is asking for my current visa info such as the visa number. I don’t have a visa stamp for my H1B because I was in the US. I do have one for my F1 that is obviously expired. I only have the I-747A for my H1B. Did I not get an H1B stamping when I needed to for 2+ years…?

Any tips for building a client base from scratch? I’m a 4th year associate at a firm of 12 attorneys. I practice in business, compliance, and real estate (primarily on partners’ files) and don’t litigate. Most of the partners’ clients are wealthy friends or friends of friends (not my circle). Associates are not referred business, even cold calls, and so far “networking” events like Chamber of Commerce luncheons have been a bust. I’m just throwing this out there and I think it might be a common thought. I’m a mom of two (ages 5 and 3) and work full time out of the house in government making $103K. Job is not flexible in that it’s 8-5 with an hour lunch break butt in chair in the office work. Zero options to deviate or work from home. I have a 30-40 minute commute each way.
