Compliance work sucks. It's basically audit . PI has better growth opportunities, exit options etc
If the bump is that big, you're probably being paid way under market at EY. You should consider negotiating with EY to stay in PI but be prepared to walk if they don't budge.
What's up with Deloitte? First they fire and then they recruit? OP- seems like you should totally go.
Don't go to deloitte advisory and especially don't leave PI for compliance work.
^what EY1 said
EY's I wish I could, but I'm getting paid slightly more than my newly promoted class due to good ratings both years.
KPMG 2 any explanation?
Don't leave is bruh
Are you sure you want to do compliance? A lot of what we do on the consulting is doc review unless you're a manager/higher.
I don't know what the offer is, but I couldn't imagine it being enough to make me happy with compliance work
OP, we might be in the same group. What kind of compliance are you talking about? Consumer, regulatory, etc? Also, what's your current level at EY?
Just keep in mind that telling ey you're quitting, and staying after a counteroffer, is the worst option of all.
If you leave in good terms you can always come back to EY. Be loyal to yourself and your career growth.
M1 I'm a senior and I'd be doing Regulatory compliance.
What's the offer?
Yep, we are in the same group and I might even know you OP.
Word on the street is that uncle D doesn't have a solid RegC practice, specifically when it comes to AML. Take that with a grain of salt.
M1, can you pull me on your FS jobs pls
D2, are you serious...lol? Why do you want to move from D?
M1 I don't think we are in the same group since I'm a BAP in NYC...being a manager in BAP would be an accomplishment!
And to answer your first question, it's Reg compliance
