Currently in public, audit, and updating resume/LinkedIn.

I was on three different first year audits as an A1 and A2 (kill me). Is this something I can or should point out in my resume or LinkedIn profile? I haven’t updated my resume or LinkedIn since graduating years ago, and a coworker was telling me I should.

One was a large accelerated filer, and the other were two private companies (FS and manufacturing). Is it worth noting, or naw? None of them were OBS audits (blessed).

Yes, spice it up but speak to how you were key to understanding entirely new processes, identifying risk, and creating original audit workpaper/procedures to address said risks. Good bullet to get talking about how you’re more than a SALY monkey

I quit. I was respectful. Thankfully, every person I have told has been so nice, and I wasn't immediately bounced out by my leadership (which has happened), but I have been surprised by my own bittersweet tears. If they actually cared, why didn't they say so sooner? I gave so much, and I was consumed by this organization. I invested in them, but my investment and dedication were not reciprocated, which is why I ever even entertained leaving. I don't know why it hurts, but it really, really does.

My practice got super busy after the pandemic. I have had a waitlist and been incredibly busy. It’s been stressful, but I have been grateful for business & to be helping people through a crazy time. This fall, I’ve noticed things slowing down and I don’t really know why. Has anyone else seen any similar trends (or know what might be going on)? TIA.

My total experience is around 7+ years and am currently working in a MNC from the past 4 years. I was planning to make a switch to some other company but recently my manager has mentioned to me in person and as well as on my appraisal feedback (in writing) that I will be nominated for the H1B visa in the coming cycle. This was in July 2022. Should I be worried that it won't happen or should I start looking for the switch.?

I recently started my own firm. We primarily do ID. I want to give our attorneys flexibility and a work life balance so I’m considering giving them a higher % of every hour billed/collected as the basis of their compensation rather than a set salary. This would eliminate any billing pressure and give attorneys the freedom to decide how much they want to work/earn. Anyone have any thoughts on whether this would be fair and/or a good idea?
