Have my first interview for an industry job (haven't interviewed since college 2 years ago for big 4). Any tips? Internal audit position
Deloitte Human Capital Consulting I am currently a student considering my options for careers. I have an internship lined up for Deloitte this summer in their Human Capital department . From what I can see it is a lot of workday implementation/other hr softwares. This is interesting to me. But I would also like the opportunity to be involved in talent strategy, compensation and benefits etc. But it seems like this really isn’t an option. Could someone please provide insight into this role.
Hi Fishes, If there are any openings/referrals in Testing for 2 plus years of experience, please let me know. Skills: Automation with Cucumber, Manual Testing and API testing. Thanks in advance..
In a junior role, does it matter if I know anything about the industry of a case I'm staffed on? I've been planning to read up a ton on each case's space, but I'm thinking that may not be an effective use of time.

I had a recruiter from EY contact me for a Manager role. What’s the culture like at EY? How’s the WLB? Would you recommend working there or should I run? 😅
Just got an offer letter for a full time designer position with a $16/hr base rate. LOL (I’m recently graduated looking for a full time but C’MON give me a break, I made more at my first internship!)
Is under 1 YOE too early to switch firms even if you have a referral? Will HR just throw your application out?
what is the best way to turn down a project? i just started at this company and know beggars can’t be choosers but this role is for staff aug and 100% not what i want to be doing
Is it worth it to get a professional certification like SHRM/PHR? Not many of my colleagues have one and it’s not a requirement for my role, but I’m curious if it’s worth it in the long run

My therapist just told me I'm depressed..do you ever feel like they tell you things you hear a lot or could have figured out on your own? Like take care of yourself, it's ok to feel such and such, etc. I'm still newer to therapy so wondering if that's the common experience? Do you ever have moments where you're like wow that actually is eye opening and I wouldn't have gotten that from reading self help books and websites etc?
Just started a new job where I’m being trained by two people 1 promotion / 1-2 years of experience above me - both men. I certainly have a lot to learn in this role, but they don’t seem to...
Probably worst time but I’m looking to relocate to AUS from Canada - thoughts on this occurring in next 12 months giving hiring environment? Hard to tell without being there on the ground

When you do work for school (lesson planning and/or grading), do you keep the TV or music on in the background? I like to, but it's also distracting and makes me way less efficient.
On hold for a project that seems like it's never going to start. Torched my already not great utilization
In case you never got to see the New York Times article about air quality in classrooms, I’m posting it here for you. It makes some very important points about creating the safest possible environment for students and teachers. 1. Open windows if it all possible 2. Place air purifier centrally 3. Don’t place fans in a way where the air is pointed at people Have a great year and keep yourself and your students safe! https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2021/02/26/science/reopen-schools-safety-ventilation.html
Everytime I ask my boss for a raise he tells me there is a freeze. How should I handle the situation?
How do you approach those partners who are super strict/intimidating? They have a scary countenance that just trips an already nervous me up when I interview with them
Hi y'all I have a first round skills-based interview with Accenture within their wealth management capital markets practice. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!
Have an offer that pays ~$350-450k a year, but is very bonus heavy and about 25% of that or more will be restricted stock and options. Making ~$350k now all cash. And the way it’s structured, in the first year I’ll end up being ~$50k short for the year of where I would be if I stayed. Also requires a big move to a location I’m not too keen on. WLB is better, probably 50 hours a week but need to be plugged in 100% of the time. Any considerations I haven’t really thought about? What should I ask?
Any advice for explaining the risks of a situation without management thinking I’m weak or not being aggressively fighting for their position?
Want to improve my verbal and written communication skills. I hear reading more would help but I don’t read as much as I used to. So I’m wondering what books would help with that? Should I just read books that tickle my fancy like suspense and true crime novels? Help! Welcome to all book recommendations!
Have taken an unpaid leave to spend time/vacation with family in my home country. It’s caused an issue with my manager which is making me anxious and depressed. How can I compartmentalize my anxiety and be present with family for the next few weeks before going back to the office?
What are project manager roles at FAANG like? Is the work exciting? Is comp similar to other positions. Thank you in advance for your insights.
14 months into my first agency job and I’ve been told from my CDs that I’ve been recommended for a raise. What should I ask for? I’m making 58k now and have had a bunch of work produced.
I currently make $132k and have not had a IRA. Is it worth opening one if I expect my next raise to bring me above $139K (which is the income limit for a single)?
