Currently in the process of getting a secret clearance. About 11yrs ago I made a stupid mistake of not checking ID when serving alcohol while working at a restaurant. I got charged but when I appeared at the court, the case was dismissed. Other than that, I may have one speeding ticket.

PTO Dilemma: I have over 100 hours of PTO remaining from hours carried over from last year that must be used before 12/31. I scheduled out days to use the hours. However, when I put my scheduled PTO in the Utilization Tracker, and include the Thanksgiving holiday and the Collective Disconnect days, I end up below my utilization target. How is that possible? Is it me or is there really something wrong with how utilization is calculated?-

Just left DoD civ life and started my new position this week. Let me tell you, breath of fresh air (figuratively and literally, spent 12 years working in a windowless vault). Leaving govt civilian was definitely the right choice. Already feel like my quality of life has improved. Was scared to make the jump at first but I fortunately landed with a great team.
