Currently interning at an asset management firm as a service desk analyst - I started the internship beginning of August 2021. Making $20 an hour wasn’t bad when I first was hired as this was my first internship and I wanted the experience. I’ve been working almost full-time while going to school because the firm needs the help and I wanted to make an impression on management. They’ve noticed and talked to me about it - is it inappropriate to ask for a raise? I handle the same issues as the FTE

Also this isn’t your typical firm or service desk. They run a lien firm with ~200 employees and AUM of ~125B. 4 service desk analysts right now - and me the intern. This service desk has multiple responsibilities and isn’t split up into specific niche’s like bigger firms. So we do basic troubleshooting to helping with major upgrades firm wide.

Hi Guys,
Broadcomm offered me Principal Engineer position, how much CTC I can ask them. Please suggest
CCTC: 21 LPA
YOE: 10+

My company historically paid base comp and bonus based on years out of law school. Level 1 is 1-9, and Level 2 is 10+. Diff if $50k+, easily. My team’s work isn’t distributed any differently based on seniority, and we’re all doing the same subject matter. We have a new GC changing it so bonus can be higher (but not lower) if you take on more work.

Do you think this is a fair system? Is it right to push for equal comp, especially given that there’s a new reward system for doing more work?

Thinking of switching from sales to a sales engineering role. Biggest difference is going to be higher base (plus bonus) with no commission or quota to carry. Curious as to what is a fair salary in todays climate. We’re a series C fintech company based in NYC. I’m being considered for the role because I’m one of the strongest presenters on the team. It will still be in individual contributor role with supposed path to leadership. Curious the range as well as equity to expect/ask for.
