I’ve had one interview at a company setup through a recruiter. The first interview the hiring manager said that they were posting the job on their website that day to ‘cast a wider net to get the best talent’. Immediately after the interview he told the recruiter he wanted to bring me onsite in 2 weeks. So I’m in the final round tomorrow, but now today two other recruiters contacted me about what seemed to be this job. Cont..
Got invited to interview at Google for a role on their global partnerships team, but realized that role requires less experience than I have and the title is Associate rather than Lead. I know (con’t)

I’m still fuzzy on this whole innovation thing. People are still getting hired to the role. What do they do? They seem to be nothing more than pundits. Someone else could be hired for that salary.
Exited to a new gig about 4 months ago and starting to get uneasy about layoffs. Seems like it’s starting to be discussed...so do I let it ride or start applying?
Any recommendations for a career coach? I'm a mid-level looking towards promotion to senior associate so looking for coaching on management and bd (but not opposed to advice on exit opportunities, just don't know much about intentionally charting a career path beyond stick it out at the firm) Cross posting, I'm a WOC (Asian)
What are some common exit ops for erp implementation consultants? Coming up on 2 years and don’t want to be pidgeon-holed in my specific technology for when I do want to exit...
Has anyone here gone from phone discussions/interview to an offer? No onsite or serious interview.
I'm a young software developer working with one of the FAANG but I keep hearing that fintech companies pay Software Developers more. What should I learn if a wanted to move to a Software development role in a Fintech company? In all my previous SDE roles (intern/entry level) I've always had to understand the domain of the projects so I'm thinking about upskilling as I'm not looking for entry level jobs anymore.
Looking at PE options right now…really enjoy consulting and is solely looking at PE for the $$ Pre-mba role, but thinking of mba in the next 3 years. Is comp worth the extra hours in PE?
How does experienced hiring (generally) work in consulting? Are there cycles similar to campus recruiting or is it year-round? Got laid off a few weeks back and the job hunt has been frustrating
I applied to Apple 6 weeks ago and haven’t heard back but just got a “rate your experience applying” auto-generated email. Safe to assume it’s a no? 🤷🏼♀️
Have interviewed big 4 company and got a offer around 25% bump and expecting better assignments than current firm. The partner in my practice reached out and is doing everything he can to make me stay
Has anyone successfully made the career move from an HR specialization to an HRBP role? If so, how? I have been working for 7 years in a very niche HR specialization and while I wear many hats on the HR team, I feel like this is hard to express to recruiters or even get an interview for an HRBP role. My niche area has really burnt me out, as it’s very political and I want to expand my horizons. I am already working on completing my GPHR certification. Any other tips?
I got reached out to about a VC role, but I had never considered VC before. I do Product Management Consulting, but I do have both an undergrad business education and product design experience. What books / articles / sources do you reccommend if I want to learn more about VC? If you have worked in VC, what thoughts or advice would you want to share? Thanks for any info or advice you can share!

I’ve got an offer for a job I think is going to be much more interesting than my current role and significant pay bump. Downside is it’s permanent WFH and I think part of why I’ve got the urge to leave DT is the lack of people connection right now. Worth it?
Anyone know average salaries for 3rd year associates at small firms in San Francisco that represent government agencies and non-profit affordable housing developers? The firm has 6 associates, 7 partners and 9 of Counsel.

Can you get laid off/fired for not doing your self assessment or getting any reviews? Round tables are so bs ... not about how much you work but how you write.

Chicago Tribune: Huge crowd gathers at Rotary Hill near Naperville District 203 offices to demand area schools reopen. Hundreds of Naperville-area parents & students rallied Monday to urge local school boards to bring students back to the classroom and the playing field. Hmm...so all these parents just want to send their kids into schools do die, right? And kill all the teachers and their families too. All out of pure selfishness.
Bought a rental property last year and paid points to get the rate down. Should I try refinancing? I looked at Better Mortgage but my principle amount was too low for them to give me any offers. Wonder if it's worth to continue looking.
I feel like my kids 1st grade teacher is being too strict, but I'm not sure if this is normal or I'm being sensitive because it's my child. E.g. she gave him 2/10 for his math homework because he doodled on the page, colored in the circle that has the page number, didn't draw the word problem neatly, wrote his last name under the name line, and says some of his numbers aren't legible. All his answers were correct, except one where he forgot to fill in the blank. Is this normal? X-posting
