Currently interviewing for a GC role at a crypto-focused hedge fund. They’re mostly focused on VC deal experience, but would prefer someone with some compliance experience. My background is in M&A and Capital Markets, so I have little-to-no crypto-fund compliance experience. I’d like to show them I’m serious about learning though. Anyone know of a good way for me to get some quick, relevant experience? Maybe a course, certificate program or other training I could enroll in to bolster my resume

Funds associate here. Not sure about certificates or trainings but PLI plus may have some readings on this topic if you have access. “Hedge Funds: Formation, Operation and Regulation” (written by partners at SRZ) may also be useful for general hedge fund regulatory matters and Stephanie Breslow (one of the authors) is highly regarded in crypto fund space along with others. It also helps to know some tax issues relating to crypto trading.

Appreciate it! Good looking out

I don’t think the talent pool of experienced crypto-fund compliance attorneys is very big. Preferences are just that. Not requirements.
