currently interviewing with Apple for a role in supply chain and operations. A few comments from the recruiters and interviewers have me slightly concerned about WLB and company culture regarding women with children.

I lead a team of 7 and do so with flexibility, trust, and input from all team members. Our culture is great and the team is very productive. Recently I’m finding some team members are pushing the boundaries a bit, like asking last minute for time off to go to a sporting event (like the day of, after they bought tickets) or deciding on extra projects without my input on if they should be spending their time that way. How can I rein them in without being a dictator?

I started a new positon end of January. Come to find out that the “hybrid/work from home” policy is not as discussed in several interviews. In short, it’s not what I was looking for, and in fact, more restrictive in flexibility than the role I left. Now 5 months in I am applying for other positions outside the company. Is there a diplomatic way to explain why I am leaving new role so soon without saying “I was strongly misled”?
