Just push until they won't go higher, start to walk out the door, then when they come up again to try to get you back, tell them $500 more than whatever they stated and it's a deal.

Hold onto your lease. 1K is all you’ll get for incentives right now and your new lease payment will be significantly more than a hat you’re currently paying. Used car market is hot as a mofo right now because inventory is practically non-existent, so dealers are charging out the azz and not discounting their cars. Not sure how many months you have left, but if it brings you to the end of the year, WAIT. FWIW my father in law is a GM.

I second what BDO 1 said, husband works in the auto industry. You're also gonna get killed on the price/payment of getting into a replacement vehicle because no one has inventory right now. The chip shortage isn't a short term problem so it's very likely you can ride out the rest of your lease, buy the vehicle at the residual value, and immediately trade it in at a profit.

smart

They offered $22050 to buy it and it’s supposedly a $15568 residual amount. $2121 remaining in lease payments.

Big4 company wants me to tell my current employer (big client) that I am intending to join them and sort of get a soft approval. This is before even giving a written offer. I have no interaction with anyone from this Big4 co, nor has anyone associated with both companies has helped. This is all after interview, offer negotiation, offer approval. Does this happen? Seems like I wasted my time.

26, and I have around $85k in student loans at about 5%, and just got a a 40k retention bonus (1yr). I am still renting @ $1700 a month. Should I put it all towards loans or a down payment on a house?
