You realize that is impossible to answer based on the info provided, right?
Current city is ATL, standard of living is very much fun, expenses are rent ($1,300) savings (~$1,500 per month), utilities/internet etc ($200), phone ($150) and I think that’s it! Bi-weekly check after 401k deductions is typically around $2,300
$1300 for fun expenses and rent is where NYC would kill you. I would budget atleast 2K for a decent studio assuming you are a single young professional and want to live in Manhattan or hip BK neighbourhoods. Food + fun is personal but at least 1.5K if you expect to eat out semi regularly and date. So you need an additional 2.2K after tax is needed for equivalent standard of living. Idk what GA tax rate is buy NY+NYC can be 8-10 percent. You can now do the math as to what the appropriate salary for you is. You’re welcome.
My rent is $1300, for fun I don’t really calculate that but probably like $300-500 for eating out, movies, Uber’s, drinks etc
I’m just asking for a generally good salary for NYC, not put myself on blast😂
Ok I added it I’m sorry😭

It’s all in there somewhere, just out of the money I save lmao
To maintain a similar lifestyle,
$91K in ATL = about $170K in NYC
