A couple of years ago, I transitioned into a new marketing discipline (it was also a function new to the department)- I didn’t have direct experience but I had transferable leadership skills that helped me learn and get the job done.I consistently got rave reviews.Fast forward to today- my company has been acquired, my manager and manager’s manager have both been fired, and my team is not longer reporting . Do I need to cut my losses and move on- or keep fighting for the role?

I'm not sure. What does that say in full sentences?
As long as you're within policy it's fine. I'd fly back for the points too. Plus I love international flights. Get to catch up on my movies
Exactly, i am allowed to fly business and fly back at least 2x per month... It's up to me if i do it or not...
I think he/she is flying back. Just doesn't exactly need to
@D1 you are aware of the fishbowl character limit on OPs? Guessing you only comment and don't post. Comments don't have this limit.
You won't get a single point if you aren't in the seat. So you're just wasting money if I understand what you are doing correctly
How long is he project? Personally, I would value extra time in another country over diamond with delta. I would probably only fly back once a month at most
Omg, Sorry for my poor English, as it is not my first language. I will try to do better next time. #imapolyglot
I'd fly. I love flying and especially in one of the nicer cabins. Definitely.
Well, thanks for the assumption, McK1. But here's OP's comment, restated more clearly and with 50 characters to spare: "I'm on an international project. I don't *have* to fly home, but I'm considering doing it anyway because it'll help me make diamond. What should I do?"
I think OP got their point regardless, D1
*point across,
Well that was ironic EY1
