My husband is looking for remote, entry level marketing position.
He’s the smartest person I know, but is looking to switch careers from estimating/project management in the commercial construction sector into marketing.
I myself am a marketing performance manager and fully remote, but I know how tough it is to break into the field without super relevant experience. Any tips??
I rolled off a project and after 3 weeks they staffed me back. Just the thought of going back gave me a headache and a knot in my stomach :(. Just wanted to vent.
Consultant forgot to replace all mentions of the previous client's name before sending the deliverable to the new client.
Amex corporate green card or CSR? I’m not seeing many benefits to the Amex and I’m wondering whether I should just stop paying the annual fee and apply for CSR instead and get reimbursed for business expenses from that card. Considering I can only put business reimbursable expenses on the Amex, it’s not accumulating points very fast. Would I be better off consolidating my points on CSR? Amex platinum doesn’t seem like the right move for me right now.
This is about internal reviews. The one that happens before client presentation. In my experience, these reviews have become very tasking over the last few years. Everyone is riding on assumptions. Biases trickle in. “Hey what about my idea?” is often thrown in. It maybe a thing in my agency. But if its happening at your place as well, how do you guys tackle it? It often happens that the client refers to the lack of idea that dies in these internal reviews. Any words of wisdom? Any insights?
Today my boss told me I need to work on showing my frustration directly to people. She mentioned a meeting THREE weeks ago where, during a meeting, I said one single thing that showed I was unhappy with not being included in a particular meeting (for a project I was leading), and my tone made it clear I was unhappy about it. She said the person I “called out” didn’t even bring it up to her; it was what she “noticed.” Cont’d...

8 years in engineering and then project management (not software) and now a year as an Associate at McK. What are my options? I really don’t have a good frame of reference.
In-house client agencies. I know the work is typically of a certain type (and level), but how big of a threat is it ya think? http://www.adweek.com/agencies/unilever-claims-to-cut-marketing-spend-by-30-after-taking-production-work-in-house/
I’ve started playing “Where The Streets Have No Name” everyday when I leave the client site to keep hope alive. That’s how much I hate my project
Financial advisors—how do you prepare for a meeting with a new client? What information do you need to gather? What information is useful for your pitch? Where do you find this information?
I’ve been seeing some project management roles in industry that I’d like to apply for, but most of my current projects have been risk and controls based. Would it be a stretch/dishonest to tailor my resume to fit those roles? I think I’d be a good fit and have the core skills for the work. I’d like to become a technical project manager eventually.
Long shot, but anyone at JFK have an extra dell charger? Left mine at the client and would prefer not doing the hour drive to the office tomorrow AM 😅
Can anyone please help with a review of Consultant role in digital transformation at ACN. I have been hearing that there is no front end work or interaction with the client. There is a team deployed on-site who does the entire scoping and then work is assigned to the folks sitting in India. Is that so? Thanks in advance!
X-posted in the in-house counsel bowl but casting a wider net: considering in-house role at firm client (firm not aware of my interest). I have worked directly with the AGC that would be my supervisor. Thoughts on reaching out to the AGC directly to convey interest?

My daughter was born with a genetic disorder so we are now considering IVF for the next one. Anyone without fertility issues go through this process? Any feedback on NYU? just had our initial consultation there. Feeling anxious and nervous.
Taking a second to remember all the lives lost at the start of this year, and how today may be a painful reminder for so many. Nonetheless, wishing/praying for strength, grace, hope and light for everyone. Happy Diwali! 💕✨
A couple of years ago, I transitioned into a new marketing discipline (it was also a function new to the department)- I didn’t have direct experience but I had transferable leadership skills that helped me learn and get the job done.I consistently got rave reviews.Fast forward to today- my company has been acquired, my manager and manager’s manager have both been fired, and my team is not longer reporting . Do I need to cut my losses and move on- or keep fighting for the role?
Was just prescribed 100mg Wellbutrin and I’m nervous, first time taking medication like this. Tell me it will be okay!
Any IVF mamas(-to-be) not experience any morning sickness? I’m 8.5 weeks and I’ve had nothing; baby looked good as of last week’s ultra. Wondering if the HRT is messing with me, or if it’ll hit soon? I now have a ton of anxiety about whether things are going ‘ok’

Thank you California!! Set an example. “California becomes first state to require publicly traded companies to include women on their boards of directors"
Personal opinion: PwC made a mistake opening up Alteryx to their entire audit division, and will face massive backlash from the regulators in a few years time when false assurance is discovered.
Is wearing a luxury piece as an associate acceptable? My family essentially passed down a lot of assets/investments to me after graduating university so I essentially have an 8 figure net worth as a associate auditor 1 at a big 4. I’m looking at getting something like a Urwerk/RM, or a Patel 5711 Nautilus, but I’m very afraid it would look bad for me at work. Any advice is appreciated.
Isn’t the start of this whole thing Ukraine wanting to join NATO? Why hasn’t NATO backed a prospective member?
Is there anyone from JP Morgan ? I would appreciate if you can refer me for a position . Thank you
I’ve just started to actually move forward in talks through third party recruiters and am curious how it traditionally works — do they get paid by the agencies, a % of the candidate’s salary, etc?
