Hey there! I work in a mid-size full service agency with a growing marketing team. We currently don't have a CD due to our size and current client portfolio, but that's a role I'd love to step into when the time is right and my management is on board with that. Any advice on how to prepare for that kind of role without changing agencies? Or anyone open to mentoring me? I'd love to learn from a CD or ACD to see what they're doing and what I can bring without leaving my team!

Not that this matters much as we both are not dingy about who pays for what day to day. But curious to know what are the best practices in terms of: 1. Things to discuss before wedding on finances 2. Newbie question… Am I allowed to bill for reading internal emails about a matter? As the only first year on most of my matters I’m just cc’d on a ton of emails with the more senior folks strategizing. I read them all so that I don’t look dumb if asked to do something. But will the client pay for my time just reading emails? If so, what’s the best way to phrase this?

How long to wait before letting a nanny go back to work after covid? Our nanny started feeling sick around 9 days ago. She tested positive 8 days ago. Her symptoms have been very mild (just a cough and a runny nose) and she’s been essentially symptom-free for the past 48 hours. However, I had her take a rapid test just now and she is still testing positive. My husband and I both work full time from home and it would be ideal to have her come to work tomorrow. WWYD??
