Yes..green card is black hole with decades of backlog. Although , make sure your new employer is going to sponsor soon

I would take offer and start gc there.

Do you have an offer in hand for 140? Same city?

@pwc1, yes! One tier lower city

Congrats, you should totally go for it. What role in industry?

Go for it dude.. not sure what you waiting on.. GC moh maya hai.. specially if you got 2-3 years on h1..

Dude that’s a 40%+ bump

Deloitte lawyers are damn slow, atleast you have seyfarth compared to gglaw in consulting. Taking that jump is essential.

I would go for a higher pay vs. GC

Take that offer please, I was once in the same situation and turned the offer down. Further , I did not get promoted that year, and it nearly took 3 years for me to match up the offer I turned down

Currently a 1.5 year tenure Consultant in Deloitte GPS RFA. Just received an offer from Guidehouse for $82K, a $16K salary boost from what I make currently. I am not up for a promotion to SC at this point. I've also heard Deloitte benefits are better, but would anyone have opinions on whether I should take the job?

Hi UK Fish, going into a promotion (from C to SC) and raise discussion tomorrow at a boutique consulting firm. Currently at 62.5k. Bonus was up to 10% but all I got was a measly 2%, slow pipeline maybe but I wasn't told why (will raise tomorrow). A recent acquisition has resulted in losing our annual xmas week off and a learning budget of 1k. I know for a fact that last year they were looking to hire SCs at 70k. Is a base raise to 75k a fair ask?

Joined EY TAS mid-Feb as staff 2 (had 1.5 yoe before in audit). With the October promotion now pushed earlier to August, am I still eligible to be considered for that promotion batch? I understand that I'll finish cycle 3 FY22 evaluation in May and maybe half of cycle 1 FY23 in July... Just not sure how the timing works. Also any advice on how to bring this up to the partners would be much appreciated! EY
