Both will get you into an MBA, but no doubt Bain>Accenture. Just keep interviewing and if you get it great but if you don’t you still have a job that’s progressing.
Nothing to think about here until you actually get the offer.
Would it reflect better on my B-school app resume that I stayed in Accenture through promotions? (I know that job hopping can also be a somewhat detrimental in apps.. I was at industry prior to joining Accenture as an SA)
Or, if I were to get into Bain, would it be even okay, or even more favorable, that I got a promotion cross-job? Esp considering that it’s a more prestigious company. I just hope that it won’t be harmful from the b-school’s perpective to be changing jobs twice post-UG.
Just wondering if its worth going through all this case prep for Bain, if it’s not going to do anything (or even be detrimental) for by b-school resume.
I would just ask to join Bain after submitting apps or join right after getting promo and get all Accenture recs still
It doesn’t really matter, you can pitch both. Get the offer first. Then evaluate.
No, I’d rather make an informed decision now than to go through with the interview (with all the time investment that goes with it) without considering the opportunity costs.
The whole point is evaluate whether I should even continue with Bain’s RECRUITMENT at all, considering that it won’t be a cakewalk (and that Consulting is not my end game). Case prep & practice take up a significant amount of time (maybe that time can be allocated to studying for the GMAT I’m taking in a few months).
