Currently use WF as my savings account, thinking of transferring my savings to Ally because of their interest %. Does anyone use Ally and like it? Or any other HYSA?

I like Ally a lot and the app is pretty decent. I’ve heard good things about Marcus from Goldman but unsure how far the interest rate dropped for them

like

Also love Ally. I’ve been using it for a decade.

I have a savings account with Discover that’s on par with other interest %. Their platform is simple and easy to use. Tbh, any HYSA listed here is an upgrade from WF, so you can’t go wrong

I use Marcus by Goldman and have had a great experience. Customer service is amazing

like

In that instance they didn’t since it was urgent

I switched from WF to Ally a month ago and I would say it's better. I like WF layout and ease of linking external accounts, but Ally has a nice savings bucket feature.

Marcus by Goldman is great

What about Capital One? Does anybody have any complaints about them

They are fine. I've used them since they were ING Direct and they usually offer competitive rates. I've never used it but they have free ATM network everywhere including in all Targets. They'll also mail checks for free if needed.

I have CapOne, and no complaints.

After 7 years of actively managing my portfolio I have concluded that simple boring index funds are way to go. I did well in tech stocks but have some I'll times entries and exits which kinda took down profits. Do you still believe actively trading would produce better results. I have learned quite a lot in process but now I don't think I would be able to give same time when life gets busy with higher roles, kids etc. Anyone have been successful in managing their portfolios and beating indexes.
