How are people getting tested before traveling to a location that requires covid test within 72 hours of traveling? When do you take the actual test to time it to get the results in time
Planning a trip to Glacier this summer and would like to visit Banff while that way. I see Canada has random testing for even fully vaccinated travelers. Has anyone crossed the border from US to Canada during COVID? Would I likely run into issues? For context I am a US citizen and fully vaccinated.
Besides coronavirus related reaction posts, is anyone actually working on other projects or things?
My next door neighbors (two apartments per floor) constantly have incredibly loud music and people over during the weekends. I never cared about having loud neighbors before covid since I was always out and about myself but now I’m in my apartment given this pandemic and have to hear their music while watching Netflix. I don’t really know them and I don’t want it to get awkward so how do I approach them about it?
This new Covid strain will make modern Brits understand what the Battle of Waterloo felt like, for the French.
Am I the only one looking forward to returning to the office on at least a part-time basis? By the amount of posts I see about people applying for remote roles or wanting to quit if they have to return to the office it seems like the minority view. I’m tired of talking to a screen all day. Bring on the energy of in-person brainstorms, internal reviews, and presentations to clients who are in the room.
Anyone move from NYC to LA? Appreciate the nature, cleanliness, space, lower cost, and same coast I grew up in (Vancouver). Tempted to move now due to COVID19. I’m a 30 yr old single male - what neighborhoods do you suggest?
I’m in an upcoming wedding and just found out the bride and groom aren’t vaccinated nor do they plan to. Do I pull out of the wedding? Most of the invitees won’t be either I’m guessing and masks are optional. I’m vaccinated and in the bridal party but I’m really nervous with the Delta variant. I want to be supportive but she hid this from everyone until now.
I recently accepted a new job which I’m super excited about and has most of what I was looking for in the next step in my career - they only draw back is they are requiring me to come into the office 2 days a week. That is a huge change for me as I started my career during COVID and have always been remote. I’m an introvert with social anxiety and ADHD so remote life treated me well. Any tips on RTO while managing social anxiety?
In the past few months, I’ve become very lonely. Partly due to Covid lockdown and my introvert behavior, I spend days without talking to anyone except my mom who lives abroad, so can only talk at night or in the morning due to time zone issues. I was intermittently seeing someone who wasn’t the best person to be with, and he used to visit me on Saturday mornings until past month. Now I’ve finally called it off with him and realize I don’t talk to anyone all day. (Contd)
Anyone seen this? https://www.nytimes.com/2020/05/04/us/coronavirus-updates.html this is disheartening to say the least “The numbers underscore a sobering reality: While the United States has been hunkered down for the past seven weeks, not much has changed. And the reopening to the economy will make matters worse.” Here is deck https://int.nyt.com/data/documenthelper/6926-mayhhsbriefing/af7319f4a55fd0ce5dc9/optimized/full.pdf#page=1

For an underlying condition for COVID-19 my dad wants to file for disability and he also had LTD insurance. I am not familiar with the process, what does he need to file? Thank you!
Have you had any cases of covid at your school?
Confession, the covid-19 pandemic has been nothing but fantastic for me. Still working from home, some additional perks from work, saved a ton of money not being able to do anything, as an introvert I got to just chill at home without the pressure of going out, got to bond with my family, I don't know anybody personally who died or got very sick either.
Do any of you do trachs on COVID 19 positive pts? We have several patients that have been on vent for 20 plus days. Are there clinical guidelines around trachs for COVID patients?
Are you still afraid of catching COVID?

My RP has mentioned many times that I'm overpaid compared to those in office in the same role... Got a raise and promo last year. What are my chances of getting a fair bump this year?
