Currently working as a freelance contractor - remote, the agreement was to send deliverables on Tuesday and Thursdays. No other instructions, and so far all submissions were on time and on the days agreed. Was recently contacted saying that they haven’t heard from me all week, should I email boss every day for updates or just send deliverables earlier in the day?

I am worried that I am being benchmarked on a wrong job title.

My employer is based in China, while I am in France. I remotely manage a global sales team, with team members from around the globe. They all work remotely as well.

For the last four weeks or so of WFH I’ve been making it to my desk around 7:30/8am and working basically without a break—lunch at desk- but cannot maintain momentum past like 6:30/7:30pm. Most of the day is billable work, but I cannot bring myself to finish outstanding assignments after 8pm, but then feel so guilty when I’m not working past that time. Am I burnout or fucked up? (Also I hate this gig & am not in it for the long haul, just hate not turning things quickly)

Anyone else tired of the assumption that because you’re a partner you have to think a certain way and believe certain things. I’m talking about wokeness, work from home, and the recent ever constant pushing of the needle to the left or risk getting “cancelled”. I’m fairly liberal politically so for me to be saying this I think may say something for the current climate. Anyone have experience with a clawback when going into government? A job I’ve always wanted opened up, but it’ll be hard to consider seriously if I have to pay back my signing bonus. So, I started working full-time at a retail store for clothing and accessories and after a brief dispute with my supervisor (my bike broke down which made me come in 20 minutes late to y shift) they told me that it seems like working is not my priority, so to make it easier on me I would only get 20 hours a week.
