What are your long term salary goals?
AirPods - yay or nay?
If you are starting as an Audit Associate some time from now with Deloitte or any of the big 4, do they expect you to have passed/completed all 4 parts by the time you start? Received the Becker Reimbursement email from the recruiter not too long ago but have yet to start. I’ve seen plenty of people get to Senior at a big 4 firm without the CPA so I am a bit confused in that aspect. Any helpful feedback will be very much appreciated.

I am in Philadelphia as well, and that is low. from my early conversations with recruiters, they are talking about $100,000 (up to 110k) for a senior role and I have only 2.5 years of experience.
EY FAAS Philly is hiring and given my current comp. I expect manager should be around $135K - $155K. This is low compared to other practices in the area (I have friends in CMAAS making that as S2 in Philly) but they work almost twice as much as I do.
@D2 I’m used to hearing one year is equivalent to two not 4x so I’m in agreement
$110 is on the low end - I’d aim to be in the $120-130 range. Bonus looks high - is that a signing bonus or an annual? If annual, total comp looks about right for a manager.
Managers with a specialization earn more (technical accounting, external reporting, etc), but it sounds like you are more of an operational accountant. I’d recommend diversifying your accounting experience - you could do well in technical accounting if you have the desire. It would make you well rounded.
Thanks! The $30k bonus was first year which had some guaranteed elements; their pay structure was a little different.
Good to know on the specialization; I’ve spent my last few years in reporting and was thinking of looking for something in technical or SEC reporting.
8 years of experience and you're only making 85k??? Bro I'm not even a senior and I'm making 80k...hope you find something around 180-200k honestly
@PWC then that's depressing, discouraging and discussing for anyone that studied accounting and worked their asses off for 10 years.
Happy to help refer to manager roles at Deloitte!
