Welcome for over time work and overloaded work with out any comp offs or extra pay for overtime work
I am sorry to hear that.
Barclays paya good but they have very hire ans fire culture. Standard chartered not so good when it comes to pay and hikes. Fidelity is definitely one of the best. Goldman and Morgan do pay more than Fidelity but there is a lot of pressure there.
I also agree Fidelity's WLB is one of the best. In the toughest times, it didn't do any paycuts or firing, rather gave extra money.
I second your thought. Ask your manager to match your Barclays offer.
Come to Fidelity International that manages UK and AMEA region . Its in GGN and Noida
People work from 9 am to 6 pm as they quite overlap with uk/emea
No there are many, CBA, Amadeus, Rakuten, ANZ etc.
And one more thing. They will say one learning day per week just for luring but that day will never come. So please don’t believe it at all.
Its one day per sprint(2weeks)... In my BU they follow it religiously! But as sprint works are unfinished, we are partially using it for sprint works.
Not only Fidelity Investments even Fidelity International has similar benefits and WLB. Most of other MNCs these days have 11-8 or 12-9 work timinge to match US time zones
Are there any Non Us based companies, which enables 9 to 5/6 IST(atleast on paper) working hours? Having similar employee friendliness as Fidelity investments?
Dbs
What happens if work culture in Barclays requires you to stay after 7 PM. What is the position, salary offered in Barclays and your current position in Fidelity. Is the compensation better as Fidelity has matched salary per market standards.
Years of exp, technology would be helpful too as I am sailing on a similar boat
I questioned to Barclays manager twice about timings. he said, as Barclays is UK based.. no calls would be there later part of day. Also he said, if u finish ur work in 8 hrs , u r free to go.
Yes.. still scared if in barclaya also happened to work beyond 6 or 7.. But Fidelity being an US based firm, for sure we cant expect to logoff by 6/7.
In Barclays, package and designation are better than current.
Fidelity is my second company.. so thought to explore outside. If nothing works, will apply back to Fidelity 😅
It's there every tuesday of the week, I told you, policies are not open and depends on teams /managers.
Barclays Pune has an issue with Job Security.
Stay where you are.
Standard Chartered hike and appraisals are very bad ! And fooding and other advantages
What have you decided finally as mu situation is more or less same
After 10yrs I dont think I can switch companies easily. <10 would be easy to solve interviews, better hikes and so on (compared to >10). Fidelity investments is my 2nd company and I'm nearing 6yrs exp completion. So I feel its good to have a shift now.. and so decided to go Barclays chennai!
