Currently working in FinTech for a large insurance company but wanting to move to a new company potentially- anyone in the investment world working at a company they love in FinTech? I’ve got my series 7,66 and 63 (almost have my ChFC) and have been in the finance industry for 10 years, from some of the salaries I see people posting I also think I’m getting screwed on pay 😅

Don’t just focus on pay. Do t get me wrong oh is important but you need to find a place where you are happy where the environment fits your career goals and also one where you feel the company is invested in you. I hear there is a lot of opportunity in fintech so you can probably easily find a company that will pay you better and one that treats you better quite easy.

I would start looking around then. There are many companies where you can get paid why your worth and you don’t want to get stuck there if your not happy.

Also consider the companies mission statement, culture and values and not just on what they will pay you. Money will only keep you happy for so long.

Some great questions to ask are what are the advancement opportunities or what is the timetable in which top producers are offered growth opportunities or promotions? Even if your not looking to go higher this will give you a good feel for a company and how they operate.

I love working at Visa, amazing WLB, good pay and benefits. Let me know if you’re interested

Good Afternoon/Morning ladies! I’m wanting to change up my career a little bit. I’m in healthcare finance (revenue cycle) and I’ve been in healthcare for 13+ years and I love healthcare but I’m wanting to get out of the back end part of finance. It’s feeling very Groundhog Day to me because i know it like the back of my hand. I’ve done all the process improvements to make every facility I’ve worked at better and I’ve loved it. Do any of you have any suggestions of what I could transition into?

I need some advice - should I give them a number for a raise or let them decide and possibly undervalue me.

I lateraled from a small firm to regional big law last year. I was told that my offer was commensurate with class year (5th year). The firm recently increased first year salary, with a 5% increase for all other attorneys. My original salary was equal to the new first year salary. The difference between my new salary and a first year is now $10k. I think it is fairly obvious that the hiring partner was not truthful with me. How would you address this? Is another lateral move my only option?

Currently making $75k, which is very low compared to my counterparts. However, in February I’m supposed to get a salary adjustment with my yearly review. I got a job offer for $120k-150k which I turned down cuz I want to stay at Adobe.

How/when do I use this to leverage a good salary adjustment in Feb?

Hi, I have worked for 4 major hospital systems both on the east and west coasts and I am tired of the politics, bureaucracy, and archaic policies. I am finishing up my master’s in informatics and want to work for an exciting company that values its employees and has good job security. I’m really interested in joining a health tech firm. Any recommendations? I don’t even know if they hire nurses but it’s something I’d like to explore. Location can be anywhere in the US.

Would you take up a job in a industry you are trying to leave and willing you suck it up for a year for 50% raise? Or would you keep looking, go through the intense tech interview process to get to the type of job you actually want to do? Asking for myself who is trying to leave agency analytics and go into data science in-house positions.

Hey everyone!
I have a question,
When working in a recruiting agency
At what point is the candidate’s information given out to the potential employer

Is it only after the staffing firm gets the payment
After a interview

Or is the full resume given out with their contact info
But they sign a non contact agreement ?
