Meta technical solutions consultant interview prep - can someone let me know if they have gone through the technical rounds for Technical Solutions Consultant role? Can you share what to prepare for since it’s not a data science type of role so most likely not hard level MySQL questions. Any specific types of queries that I should learn? Thanks!

Hey, considering the product alliance course. Is it worth 500 usd? As in do you think it added measurable value?
Out of curiosity, do you have any real world experience and have you found the books helpful?
No.. im still in consulting and have never held the pm title.. looking to transition now. Yes. I guess nothing beats doing the actual work in real time. Everything else is only barely enough to get your foot in the door..
Book recommendations or any other tips to solidify basics, welcomed.

Your biggest advantage over candidates in interviews is saying how many products you have launched. This is easiest if you have launched non implementation MVPs for clients. When consultants apply for tech roles they make the mistake of playing up implementation experience - this will not get you the role.
We don't have room for error or time to teach people how to PM, especially at startups. The more you can demonstrate that 1) you know how to do the job and 2) you can do the job well, the easier it gets for us to extend an offer. If you need to learn how to PM, aim for a APM role.
That being said, I'd you still want to make the jump directly to PM, read cracking the PM interview - it will give you the right perspective to approach the process.
Thank you A1. Its now on the top of my list of books to read.
Hi..stumbled on your post...I am preparing for PM interviews...would you be kind enough to share the product alliance course. that would be a big help....can't really afford it. Thanks in advance.
