Agree with SM1... its about quality... and you never know when you find the next great friend. We all also lose a lot of people along the way. Tough but necessary...
Sounds dramatic AF
I’m over 40 and have de-friended people, no trouble making new friends via meet ups, volunteering, work...but points above about quality over quantity is right on. Cutting out the people who drain you gives you a lot more time with ones who enrich your life
