The online application for a job I am applying for has a space to enter required salary range. I left it empty and the company sent it back to me asking for me to fill out all additional information and it is highlighted red. When I initially filled out the application it was not listed as a required field. At this point it seems like I have to put something in although I have had no chance to interview or talk to anyone. Should I just throw a number out there at this point?

I have my post grad life coming up this fall… and I currently work full time while still in school. I have started my job search because I’d rather have something prepared and something to walk into rather than keep looking when the time comes. I’m graduating with my degree in graphic design and have 3+ years experience in social media management and design.

My boss has told me that I’m being promoted really soon (6-8) months from today to an Account Manager position from being an assistant at my company. He’s giving me every resources possible for me to be ready for that position, resources such as books, card notes and trainings. Now, I’ve seen another internal position from a different department which I’m really interested in and I know I can get because of my background. Do I apply to that new position, or hold on for the AM position.

They pay for everything including leads but I’m working as an agent in one email whereas there’s another showing I’m using my license as a broker. I get $43,000 salary plus commissions so averaging $80 K a year. Any advice?

Hello, does anyone work as an auto underwriter for insurance? I recently got accepted for an internal job position and was offered $50k. I’m currently a claim processor making $20/hour so the offer is more than what i’m making but is low in comparison to the average salary for an auto underwriter in AZ (which is around $58k). I believe because the company knows how much i’m making they lowballed me. Any tips on how to navigate the salary negotiation and can u share ur salary ?
I want to leave my captive company. I don’t think I am ready to be totally on my own even with a cluster group etc. There is an option to be subcontractor in another independent company. It is like “owning your book” but I assume I would pay a high price if I want to totally manage myself in a futu
Data Quality for Actuarial and Data Analysts
How much time do your analysts spend cleaning and structuring data vs actually performing analysis? I feel like I’m fighting data quality/support issues just to keep our quarterly reporting processes alive, much less creating value-adds through actual analysis or new technology implementation. What’s normal vs how it should be?
