Attempting to renter the workforce after a 2 year hiatus due to health issues followed by the pandemic. During this time off I had minor success running a small business, but not enough to pay the bills. I have 3 YOE, 1.5 as a Loan Officer, and 1.5 as a consultant within compliance and Fintech. Please let me know of any fully remote positions, or hybrid positions based out of Chicago or Milwaukee. I live in Dubuque IA, so for in office work it would have to be in Dubuque. TIA!
Does anyone sign their emails at the end with their initials of their first and last name? I'm not sure how I feel about that, I've noticed quite a lot of people in the firm and at the client who do.
COVID life of virtual events: What is the best executions you’ve seen for them? Anything that breaks the norm? All of the ones I’ve attended have been draining with an overload of faces on screens. Anything out there shaking things up a bit?
Anyone up for case interview practice?
Which companies have the easiest interview? I have 3+ yoe in Infosys, working in Spring Boot and Java technology. I want to switch but not much well versed with Spring boot. Please suggest.
So I just finished an interview round for a startup, and despite my better judgement, I built a model for measuring success of a marketing campaign - part of their ‘case exercise’ to be completed at home. They just let me know that they’re going with ‘other candidates’ and I realized I built them a reusable framework for free. 🤡
Can anyone give me tips on better hotels in Jacksonville FL? Looking at the Jacksonville Marriott right now. Is it the best Marriott property down there?
Any insight into Jackson Lewis? Especially the smaller offices? Do Associates generally get promoted to Partner? Do they match 401K contributions? Quality of life? PTO?
I'm at EY in the FSO Tax service line and I am hating it, should I switch service lines or go to a different Big 4 firm? If so, which firm has been the best as for as work life balance.
What do you do if the partner who hired you is nice in social settings but awful to work for? And you can’t seem to escape from working for that partner. This partner doesn’t respond to your emails for critical issues that you need input on, doesn’t return your phone calls and voicemails and throws you under the bus in front of the client to blame you for her mistakes. The seniors are too busy. Just joined this firm so lateraling isn’t a viable option.
I’m a creative looking to move more into the strategy side of the game. Is it important for me to have an MBA under my belt? And what’s the best path to transition/get more visibility strategy-side?
I have offer from both Deloitte USI and KPMG global services.. Have planned to join KGS.. But Im confused now after looking at Deloitte hike posts 😕 😢
LA vs San Diego? Can someone tell me the pros and cons of each city? I want to move to the west coast in the next year or so and debating between the two cities. San Diego looks like a beautiful city but seems to lack diversity from what I heard. Some background on me: late 20s, I’m black & latina, single, I have a puppy, I’m from NY but currently live in Boston, vegan, pretty active, people person but also enjoy a good amount of time to myself. Thanks in advance!
Do folks use “key points” and “key takeaways” interchangeably? Or do they imply 2 different things? 🤔
So finally got my standing desk set up. Got a birch butcher block from Homedepot, stained and gave it a few coats of poly. But its been a few weeks and the smell of the poly is strong when I'm near the desk. I can't stand it, does it eventually go away? Anyone have expertise on this? Tia!
Omg lady won't give up her seat so this non white family can sit together who has a baby. "If these people who can't speak English can't afford to sit next to each other, why do I have to move" ewww
