Just wanted to share a small win. After 2 months of complete bottle refusal at daycare, my 6 month old has FINALLY accepted it as a way of eating while he’s there. The anxiety, mom guilt, and worry I felt every single day he was there as they squirted milk in his mouth while he cried almost lead me to quit my job so I could keep him home. I’m so so so grateful and feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I could cry from relief! 🥹

Any advice on how to manage court and covid. Here’s my reality- I practice in a state with mid-level spread, a prohibition on mask mandates (prohibited both statewide and for the courts), and hard to come by testing with huge result lags. I have a court heavy practice (I am in court daily, 3-6 hours a day). Our courts are not doing ANY screening, social distancing, extra cleaning etc. today, for example, I had an afternoon of trials with 20-30 people in a (continued in comments)

Everyone touts self-care for teachers. How do you guys keep up any kind of exercise during school? Right now I’m getting in 3 quality runs per week, along with at least 1 round of disc golf (about a 4 mile walk). Historically, I haven’t been able to maintain that when school is in session. Argh.

Got into a debate about this recently - is home schooling good for students?

How long do you think it will be before schools that are full time, 100% capacity end up online? Will they end up online?

This was recently posted in a thread I was commenting on. “It frustrates me to read people’s messages from states with very few cases to act like the virus is nothing to those of us whose states have a 100k.” Syntax aside, the meaning is clear—if you are from a small state, you should zip it.

I am from a small state. Our case count will never break us out of the bottom quartile (probably never get above the bottom 5.) Does that mean I am not allowed to have an opinion?
