Dante got it wrong. The 9th circle is reserved for lawyers who don’t use track changes and send me a CLEAN PDF as the product of their review. You woke up, realized that this was violence, and proceeded down this path without remorse. Hope you bring water bottles; you’re gonna need it.

The only proper response is to reply with track changes and a single nonmaterial stealth edit. Vigilante justice.

Immediate reply back that they forgot to attach their clean word.

Sent a hand marked copy of comments back lol

I have actually done that to someone who refused to send me a word version.

Lol or the people who send my client a clean pdf via DocuSign directly to sign! Without sending back to the lawyers or letting anyone know if they accepted our comments or made other edits (spoiler alert - they had made edits)

Assuming one does well in a lateral interview (is able to demonstrate proof of on point experience, good communicator, good personality fit and good culture fit), how common is it or to get an offer? The firm already sees the background and experience on a resume and deal sheet, so curious how often someone gets to interview and doesn’t end up getting an offer if the experience and ability to communicate well are there. (Clearly a wishful question so entertain me with any insight)
