Do not work super late otherwise it will become a habit that is hard to break

I’d find almost anything else to do. Turning your (consulting) work into your hobby is a road I wouldn’t want to go down.

You and me both.
Update: I actually moved to a new city as the covid lockdown came in, so it's been a super weird time for me. There hasn't been much opportunity to venture out or even go to the office. Very weird times we live in.
Put on a mask and venture out on the streets! Or find a park nearby depending on what city you’re in to explore. Ugh I’d love to be in a city rn and I’m seriously considering moving to a new city to restart my life.

Being alone in a new city is super tough, been there. Probably even more daunting now I'm sure. But agree with the others that you should try to do literally anything other than work in the evenings.
Make a list of movies you've always meant to see and start knocking them out, start binge watching TV shows, go on long evening walks while listening to an audiobook, bookmark a bunch of new recipes to try out and cook a new one several times a week, organize different aspects of your life (apartment, financial, career goals, subscriptions etc.), sign up for a remote class or two, zoom hangouts with friends or family elsewhere, try out awkward virtual dating or meetups with local strangers in the hopes that one or two people you meet could turn into real friends or lovers, try your hand at writing bad fiction, learn the guitar, learn Spanish, go to bed early...
Boom. It's now next year and you haven't worked a single evening 💪
Great advice! I've been listening to a ton of audio books and I've got quite the list of movies to catch up on. Additionally, the apartment gym has been opened, so hoping to hit that up too 😄
Op, don’t save work, ask for more. Be that individual who gets the faster promote.
Yeah, the good side of saving ppts and analysis work for evenings had meant that I've gotten more time during the day for other things. My managers are happy to provide more work lol. Let's hope they remember me at year end 😄
That's not healthy. Get a dog. Or any hobby.
