Using Google DataStudio solves 90% of use cases for my agency and clients. Let me know if you need extra guidance
If you like handling data from end to end, this isn't the tool. You control what streams go into the tool, and have to manage a rigid decisioning process inside DR, all building to the limited front end that is their bread and butter
You’re right on both points (easy and expensive). It depends on how complex your process is and if you have an infrastructure/tech stack. If your company is mature and contains a decent tech stack, it’s not worth it. If you’re barebones, maybe, but I don’t know the cost to justify the platform
What are you trying to do? If you’re trying to use it as a client reporting tool, it’s really not built for that nor priced for it (they charge by the number of lines of data returned by a query... clearly not aligned with reporting) if you’re trying to bring together disparate data sets for the purpose of analysis or smarter campaign execution, it’s pretty powerful. It’s biggest drawback is places too much emphasis on cool sexy visuals that look great but utterly fail to actually convey information. IMHO
I just saw their demo today. Looks really robust and seems to connect to all SSPs better than most vendors I’ve seen. Haven’t seen pricing but does seem to be more on the expensive side.
I’d be super curious to know if anyone is using them on the pub side and what their experience has been
