It’s a Christmas miracle! 🐶🐱
Hi All,
I have around 10 years experience in IT industry, mainly on QA automation. I have experience with PwC and Deloitte in the USA.
My I797 expired, however I have 10 months remaining on initial 6 year period. I’m looking for opportunities in US for getting H1B/L1. I’m open for positions in India initially as well. I’m well versed with Salesforce too. Any suggestions are really appreciated Accenture PwC EY KPMG Capgemini Salesforce

I would consider staying at my V5 if I made more than someone at V40. But I don’t. I likely make less per hour…
Exactly. The people who are really winning are the ones who did way worse than you in school and ended up in Dallas. 😂
Baker McKenzie and Dechert match Davis Polk
If my firm doesn’t match by July 1 (I.e., colleagues at other firm start making more in July paychecks) I’m putting in notice. No way in hell I’m working somewhere that does not pay top of market

Mintz matching is top 3 most random things all year
McDermott matches Davis Polk.
IDC what anyone says, this is a slap in the face for all of us that are annualizing 3k
They say you should make 1/3 of what you bring in. If that’s true, I earn my pay (with full bonus) at around 1500 hours. So I think the firm is doing pretty well off me.

A lot of people at a lot of places would be better off if their firms didn’t try to keep matching.

While admittedly anecdotal, from my experience when you get not that far down the PEP chart, you start running into firms that are successful but aren’t that far from trouble if they lose a limited number of highly paid partners. The issue isn’t so much can they afford it. Sure, they likely can. The issue is those firms have significantly less capacity to absorb additional expenses, and these types of expenses put much more strain on the system than at other firms. I certainly don’t begrudge associates for getting as much as they can, but the business would be much easier for many people if firms below a certain small group stopped trying to pretend everyone is playing in the same sandbox.
Milbank and others that matched will now have to meet the new bar DPW has set.
I would be shocked if my v40 matched.
I wonder if everyone who usually matches is really going to this time even after special bonuses
^^^ Wondering the same. Associates at my firm have been dropping like flies. Management is always disgruntled when they give us more money, but they kind of don't have a choice at this point 💁♀️
Holy...
Senior associates will top 500k this year. Bonk. Show me an in house job ANYWHERE that tops this. (No seriously, please do it.)

Apples and oranges. You don’t go in house for cash comp. You do it because hopefully your life will be better than the biglaw dumpster fire of a life.
I wonder if Kirkland or Cravath will top DPW? That's why Milbank et al are waiting to match to see if this happens so they don't have to play catch up twice?
Kirkland never beats market base salary. Wouldn’t bet on it.
