Day care illnesses a thing? My 21 month old just started day care last week and got a diaper rash and a cold. This week she came back with a stomach bug and threw up thrice last night.

New kids / new environment = new germs = illness. Sorry you are dealing with this but should get better in a few months.

Yes very much a thing. It will get better!

Yep. We started daycare at 4 months and we’ve lost count of the sicknesses she’s brought home

:( she moves from day care to school in the summer. I’m already terrified

Yes, it gets much better after the first 6-12 months (depending on when your baby started… winter is the worst time for illnesses). Once they get past it though then have super strong immune systems. My oldest got sick all the time when he first started daycare, but now he hasn’t been sick in almost 2 years.

Welcome to hell. Sorry no one told you this ahead of time so you could have braved yourself. It’s kind of non-stop the first couple months. Especially in cold/flu season. It will get better, but it will get worse before it does.

Girlfriend is supposed to meet my parents this week for thanksgiving. But today she’s been going through such bad depression, she mentioned “not wanting to be here” over the phone multiple times. She’s been struggling lately. Is it okay for me to say that I don’t want her to meet them unless she’s feeling better. I told her It’s too heavy when she says stuff like that to me and I want to help. Idk what to say to her.

Any tips for a paralegal who wants to transition to an in-house position? I have 2.5 years of para experience and a decade of admin experience. I have my BA, AS, and AAS which are all related to the paralegal field, and various applicable certificates. I'm also working on my master's in management with a concentration in agency administration. All job postings I see want you to have a certain amount of in-house experience.

I got laid off in January and have been trying to find a new job since. I keep making it to the phone interview and sometimes a second interview, but always get ghosted. It’s so disheartening.

I have too much experience for an internship, and I have too little to be the top choice for copywriter roles. I know I’m a good writer, I know what I’m capable of, but it’s so exhausting trying to convince people. They always like my book but it’s never enough to get the gig. What can I do?

Just revised my resume with some of the very helpful suggestions I received in my earlier post. Still seeking out management consulting, strong LDPs, and high-paying Ops and SCM roles once I graduate in Spring 2023. Also incoming at U.S. Department of State. Would appreciate more feedback and referrals or advice!
