I give more to the core teachers and a little less for the rotating staff and front desk/admin. Daycare workers and teachers are notoriously underpaid and the value of cash/gift card is just a small token of appreciation. I could not do well at work without them, and they pretty much potty trained my kid minus getting rid of the diaper/pull up. If you can, give freely/generously, I think it will mean a lot to them

Can you ask the administrator who your kids core teachers are? Ours send out a reminder just before Christmas and Teacher Appreciation day for this reason so I just gift the two main teachers per class. I figure I’ll hit all of them over time as my kids move around.
Continued… I’m inclined to go big and stick with same price point as last year and just give to everyone like we always do. My husband thinks we should reduce the amount. We can afford it, and I had my best year yet monetarily (which I obviously couldn’t do without daycare). But it is a lot. I’m torn.
Any insight is appreciated.
I don’t gift daycare teachers unless we have an outside relationship with them (babysitter or vacation nanny - and then I go big at a couple hundred bucks or so). I also don’t gift school teachers. It’s seems unnecessary to me. But to each her own.
