In the same situation but I still think it is the right thing to do to keep supporting the daycare; that is as long as it not causing any economic hardship to your family. My husband and I are lucky enough to still have paying jobs. I think it is only right to support these businesses if we can.

I’m paying 50% (normal rate when I am not using on vacation). Maybe you could arrange something similar? I’m happy to keep up 50% indefinitely.
.. but we (and many other parents) paid for April to support them and the teachers. With another two months ahead of us.. I am conflicted. We are lucky to still have jobs but it is REALLY tough with the current arrangement. Hard pill to swallow of paying an obscene amount while getting crushed by working and caring for toddlers all day. Anyone else in this position?
Same boat. We are paying our full time nanny/housekeeper and part time daycare while having to watch our toddler ourselves. It sucks, and we will quickly have to make a decision about how long to continue this arrangement. Hang in there!
What state?

I completely understand, what a tough situation. I would keep paying if you can. Are you at risk of losing your spot if you stop paying?
Similar situation. We are paying for our full-time daycare for 1yo even though he hasn’t been there since March 12. This is a home-based daycare with 12 kids total, not an institution, and the owner is like family to us (my 6yo went there for four years previously). We will continue paying fully as long as we both have our jobs. From our perspective, we can still afford it, and while it sucks to not get anything for that money, I can’t imagine not paying her as long as we are able to.
Same thing with our house cleaners who come every two weeks.
