Tech Mahindra Hi Fishes,
I joined TCS 1.5 years back only in Oct20 as an Asso Consutlt (C3B).
in Jan22, I appeared for Tech Mah interview process and got selected as a Project Manager position, they have offered me 40% hike.
Currently I am on notice period, resigned from TCS last month but still not very convinced with my decision there is still a 2nd thought like whether should I join TechM (obviously bcoz of leaving TCS and its facilities, job security and no hire back policy).
Please guide me.

Oh and let me add. In Federal, if the clients love you then good luck getting fired. You can get away with murder. Feds are usually lifers and if you become a trusted partner to a GS14 and above then chances are the firm will want to leverage that relationship to grow business with that client.
Yes
Yes. The firm bills you out at twice the rate in commercial than they do in federal. The Feds have some heavy bargaining power and they give you 5 years of guaranteed revenue on each win. Now there are exceptions to that but that is usually the standard for the kind of work big companies bid for. To sum it up the firms pay you more as long as they can bill you out at a higher rate.
There is a $30k difference in 1st year Sr Associate salary at PwC. As a federal practice employee, I make less than my friends who are Associates in the Commercial practice.
Like others have & will say. It comes down to rates.
Low 70s (so pay diff is really 20-30k depending on city). Just to be clear - I'm not complaining. There are some positive tradeoffs.
1) I don't travel
2) I only work 40-50 hours/ wk
3) To my knowledge, PwC Public Sector has never had widespread layoffs. Even when I've been on the bench in the past, layoff is just not a concern in this environment.
SA1 are you an exp hire?
SA1 how much are you making? I am applying to PwC federal from a small commercial firm and have heard my pay will get cut significantly
What kind of projects have you been on?
